The Heidelberg Retina Tomograph 3 (HRT3) is newly enhanced for the assessment, diagnosis and management of glaucoma. The HRT3 uses laser technology to produce a topographical image of your optic nerve, providing an objective analysis of the structure's cup, rim and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL). The Glaucoma Probability Score, is generated by artificial intelligence known as relevance vector machine (RVM). This analysis provides a statistical probability of damage using ethnic-specific databases based on the 3-D shape of the optic disc and RNFL. This software assists us in acquiring a quality image. It also monitors your condition over time, comparing baseline images to follow-up examinations, highlighting areas of statistically significant progression.
